Province 1 to widen scope of Coronavirus testing

BIRATNAGAR: Province 1 is increasing the scope of Coronavirus screening, with the number of Coronavirus cases going up in the province of late.

Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai said the preparations are underway to carry out 1,000 tests through PCR method on a daily basis.

According to him, two additional labs will be brought into operation for PCR testing in the province.

Swab specimen collected from Coronavirus suspects are being tested at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, Koshi Zonal Hospital, Biratnagar and Provincial Laboratory through PCR method, currently.
