17 detainees tested negative in RDT



SARLHI: As many as 17 people in police custody at the District Police Office (DPO), Sarlahi have tested negative in the rapid diagnostic test (RDT) for the coronavirus.

The tests showed no development of antibody on them, said DPO chief Superintendent of Police Bishwamani Pokhrel.

The testing followed a circular from the Office of Attorney General to conduct the RDT of detainees before proceeding towards the extension of their detention term.

”We are also responsible and serious for their health,” said SP Pokhrel. So far in Sarlahi, 97 people recently arrived here from India and other third countries and 17 detainees have undergone the RDT, Chief District Officer Mohan Bahadur GC said.
