India reports 20, 080 infection cases, 645 deaths



KATHMANDU: India has registered 53 new deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total tally to 645 as of Wednesday morning.

According to Worldometer, with 1,541 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 20, 080.

Currently, 15, 460 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country while 3,975 have returned home after recovery. The India government has conducted tests on 447, 812 people for Coronavirus so far.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 177,402 and infecting 2,554,568 people as of Wednesday morning.
