Death toll jumps to 20, 796 in France after 531 die in 24 hrs



KATHMANDU: France has registered 20, 796 deaths after 531 died in a single day.

With 2,667 new cases, the total number of infection cases has surged to 158, 050 as of Wednesday morning.

Currently, 98, 073 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 5,433 are critical. Meanwhile, 39,181 have returned home after recovery.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 177,402 and infecting 2,554,568 people as of Wednesday morning.
