One killed in Kailali explosion

ATTARIYA: A person died when a ‘suspected object’ went off at Godavari-4 of Kailali district on Sunday.

The person, identified as Nar Bahadur BK, 40, died when he was trying to melt a brass-like ‘suspicious object’ that he had found in a nearby jungle while cutting grass.

Sudip Giri, SP at the District Police Office, Kailali confirmed the incident.

“We have received information of the explosion,” SP Giri said, adding, “The object, that he brought home from the jungle went off when the victim was trying to melt it,” SP Giri said.
