India’s Himachal Pradesh sent back 20 Nepali tourists

MANDI: India’s Himanchal Pradesh has sent back more than 35 tourists including 20 Nepalis and Israeli nationals as part of the government’s efforts to check tourist inflow to help contain the spread of coronavirus.

Rahul Chauhan, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Sundernagar said that 20 Nepalis were sent back. He said that with the help of the local police and medical team, the buses were checked and all the people were sent back, the New Indian Express reported.

The district administration said people had come from different places and were on their way to Manali.

The state government had on March 14 closed all educational institutions, Anganwadi centers, and play-way schools till March 31.
