NA committee to press ministries to comply directives

KATHMANDU: The Delegated Management and Government Assurances Committee under the National Assembly (NA) has decided to prod ministries to implement its directives.

A meeting of the Committee held on Wednesday made the decision to this effect saying that the ministries have failed to implement the directives it has been issuing to them on a regular basis.

The Committee has also alleged the ministries for ignoring and not implementing its directives.

Chairman of the Committee Ram Narayan Bidari said the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies; and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, among other ministries have failed to implement the Committee’s directives.

Bidari also said that the Committee will take information from the Ministry of Home Affairs about the government assurances that the Home Minister had given to the effect that at least 10 border outposts would be set up in the coming year.
