Govt will reclaim encroached land, says Minister Aryal

DAMAULI: Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Padma Kumari Aryal on Wednesday claimed that the government was steadfast in the campaign of recovering the public land encroached by individuals or businesses.

Minister Aryal said this at a meeting in Tanahun today and warned of stern action against anyone found registering the government land in an individual’s name.

She maintained that the government was endeavoring to reclaim the encroached upon land, saying encroachment of public land has increased extensively.

Minister Aryal further said that the government would also revoke the illegitimate registration of land and urged people to inform the government about such practices.

She also informed that the government would give justice to the landless squatters.

According to her, the laws related to land management have been formulated for the better management of land.
