KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Central Executive Committee of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) has decided to request the Speaker of the House of Representatives to convene a parliamentary session.

It has been decided to request the Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota to start the meeting with the conclusion that the parliament has not turned defunct as the constitution does not give the right to the Prime Minister to dissolve the
House of Representatives.

Talking to reporters after the meeting, Chairman of JSP Federal Council Baburam Bhattarai, said that it was decided to call a meeting of the House with the conclusion that the House of Representatives has not been dissolved.

The meeting has also decided to organize various struggle programs against the ‘dissolution of the House of Representatives’.
