Prachanda-Nepal faction summons Parliamentary Party meeting

Central Committee meeting to resume on Thursday



KATHMANDU: The Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda and Madhav Kumar Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has convened a meeting of the Parliamentary Party on Wednesday.

A meeting of the Central Committee of the faction held at a banquet in Kathmandu on Tuesday has summoned the meeting for 11 am tomorrow.

The next meeting of the Central Committee will be held on Thursday.

The meeting of the factional Central Committee decided to oust Prime Minister KP Oli from NCP Chairmanship and picked leader Nepal as a new Chairman. Oli has been accused of acting against national and party interests, repeatedly violating party decisions, dissolving Parliament, and attacking the constitution.

A leader informed that the meeting also decided to hit the streets saying that the dissolution of the Parliament was unconstitutional.
