NCP row: Dahal-Nepal faction removes KP Oli as NCP chair



KATHMANDU: The faction of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) led by Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Senior Leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has decided to oust Prime Minister KP Oli from NCP chairmanship.

A meeting of the Prachanda-Nepal faction held Tuesday decided to remove Chairman Oli and replace him with Madhav Nepal as NCP Chairman, a party leader said.

The Standing Committee decision will now be endorsed by the faction’s central committee meeting that has started in the capital.

The NCP statute has a provision of two chairmen.
