Oli faction to hold party’s general convention on Nov 18, 2021



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) KP Oli has decided to hold the General Convention of the party on November 18, 2021.

The Oli faction has also announced to form a 1,999-member General Convention organizing committee to this effect.

Pm Oli informed a meeting of the party central members that a 1,199-member general convention organizing committee will be formed.

Currently, the NCP has 446 central members.

Sources said PM Oli plans to add 556 new members on Tuesday and form a general convention organizing committee with 197 members later.

Meanwhile, the disgruntled faction led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” faction of the NCP is preparing to make Madhav Kumar Nepal the party Chairman by taking action against Chairman Oli from the Central Committee meeting, sources have claimed.
