PM Oli announces to form 1,199-member General Convention Organizing Committee

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) KP Oli has announced of forming a 1,999-member General Convention organizing committee.

Pm Oli informed a meeting of the party central members that a 1,199-member general convention organizing committee will be formed.

The NCP currently has 446 central members.

Sources said PM Oli plans to add 556 new members on Tuesday and form a general convention organizing committee with 197 members later.

Meanwhile, the disgruntled faction led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” faction of the NCP is preparing to make Madhav Kumar Nepal the party Chairman by taking action against Chairman Oli from the Central Committee meeting, sources have claimed.
