KATHMANDU: The Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is preparing to make Madhav Kumar Nepal the party Chairman by taking action against Prime Minister and Chairman KP Oli from the Central Committee meeting.
A central committee member of the NCP said that the decision to this effect could be taken at the Central Committee meeting to be held Tuesday afternoon.
The NCP has two chairpersons in its statute. Madhav Nepal is likely to replace Oli, he said.
Prachanda-Nepal faction has called a central committee meeting today. It has warned of taking action against PM Oli for dissolving the House of Representatives.
