Indian comedian Bharti Singh, husband sent to judicial custody

MUMBAI: Indian comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa were produced at the Quilla Court after which, they were sent to judicial custody till December 4, Indian media reports have said.

They were arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau after the seizure of cannabis from her house in Andheri in Mumbai in the drug-related case.

While Bharti has been taken to Kalyan jail, Haarsh has been sent to Taloja prison.

Earlier today, the Bureau Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede confirmed Haarsh’s arrest.

He said Bharti and Haarsh were accused of consuming ganja.

Bharti and Haarsh have applied for their bail in the drug case which has been scheduled for hearing on Monday.

Acting on a tip-off, the Bureau had searched Bharti’s house on Saturday and seized 86.5 gms of cannabis.
