Kathmandu Valley registers 957 new COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 957 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 733 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 53 in Bhaktapur, and 131 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,669 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 2,20,308 with fresh cases as of Sunday afternoon.

A total of 5,699 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 1,99,024 in the country.

Nepal currently has 19,963 active cases.

Likewise, 686 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 16 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,321, the Ministry confirmed.
