Widening of Koteshwor-Jadibuti road section to start next month



KATHMANDU: The government is going to start the work of widening the four-lane Koteshwor-Jadibuti road section to six lanes from next month.

Kuber Nepali, Head of the Road Division Office, Kathmandu, informed that the contract is being evaluated to expand two more lanes.

According to him, the contract will be finalized by the last week of November.

According to the division, it is planned to complete the work within the current fiscal year 2020/21.

Road extension will be done from Koteshwor Chowk to Manohara Bridge connecting Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. All the technical studies have been completed for the road expansion with a budget of Rs. 120 million.
