KATHMANDU: Former King Gyanendra Shah has said that the Nepalis have become ‘orphans’ in the hour of crisis.

In a message on Thursday, on the occasion of Dashain festival, former King Shah said, “Everyone should have a self-awareness that the state can survive only if it can save the people and politics can only survive if there is a state.”

Saying that guardians  capacity and status should be clear during the crisis, the former King added that all Nepali people are feeling the pain of becoming ‘orphans.’

Former King Shah also said that the people’s daily life is becoming challenging due to the responsible side (government)’s inability to present the managerial skills to make the lives of the citizens comfortable and safe in the face of adversity.
