District Hospital in Dolpa receives first-ever ventilator

DOLPA: The District Hospital in Dolpa district has procured the first-ever ventilator recently.

The machine was received in support of the Karnali State’s Ministry of Social Development, shared Hospital Chief Dr. Sijan Rawal.

Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Nanda Singh Buda and Minister for Social Development Dal
Rawal had taken the lead to provide the essential equipment to the District Hospital at the time when COVID-19 patients were risking their lives across the country in a lack of ventilators in the treatment facilities.

Since there was no good facility for electricity in Dolpa, the bottled oxygen cylinder should be very reliable to operate the ventilator, said Rawal.
