Sudurpaschim govt to provide Rs 200,000 each to families of murdered policemen



DHANGADHI: The Sudurpaschim Province government has decided to provide Rs 200,000 each to police personnel murdered by smugglers.

A Cabinet meeting of provincial government held on Thursday morning decided to provide the relief amount to families of Assistant Sub Inspector Govinda BK and Police Constable Ram Bahadur Saud.

Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Jhapat Bohara stated that it has been decided to immediately provide Rs 100,000 to the family members and deposit the remaining amount in a fixed deposit.

A gang of smugglers had murdered the police personnel after they were obstructed in smuggling goods from Nepal to India. Seven persons have arrested in connection with the murder.
