Energy Minister Pun in quarantine after driver tests COVID-19 positive



KATHMANDU: Minister for Energy, Irrigation and Water Resources Barshaman Pun is in quarantine after a driver tested positive for the coronavirus.

Minister Pun is under quarantine with his family members at Minister’s quarter in Pulchowk.

Minister Pun was preparing to go to his constituency in Rolpa for Dashain. The plan has now been postponed. The Minister is preparing to undergo a PCR test.

It should be noted that Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Management Basanta Nembang, Minister for Tourism Yogesh Bhattarai, and Minister for Education Giriraj Mani Pokharel had tested positive for the virus.

Likewise, Minister of State for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Motilal Dugar had been diagnosed coronavirus positive.
