PM Oli and RAW Chief Goel held talks: PM’s Press Advisor

KATHMANDU: Chief of Reseach and Analysis Wing (RAW), the external Intelligene Agency of India, Samant Kumar Goel has held a meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli during his recent visit to Nepal.

RAW Chief Goel came to Nepal on Wednesday to take stock of the security condition of Nepal prior to the Nepal visit of Indian Chief of Army Staff (CoAS)  Manoj Mukund Naravane.

Four-star general of the Indian Army, Naravane is coming to Nepal on November 3 to receive the honorary tile of the Nepal Army.

RAW Chief Goel met with Prime Minister KP Oli at Baluwatar on Wednesday evening according to Surya Thapa, the press advisor to the Prime Minister.

Goel in the meeting with Prime Minister Oli expressed his comments to maintain the age-old fridenly ties between the two countries, to resolve the border issues through dialogues and to give continuity to the mutual bilateral cooperation, said Thapa.

However, Thapa did not disclose what the Prime Minister said during the meeting.

Goel has returned home on Thursday morning, wrapping up his two-day visit to Nepal.
