Karnali Province witnesses 55 new COVID-19 cases

SURKHET: As many as 55 more people in Karnali Province have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus.

A PCR test conducted at Karnali Province Hospital/Avian Disease Investigation Laboratory, Surkhet, Dailekh Hospital and Chaurjahari Hospital, Rukum West, confirmed the new cases.

Out of the newly infected people, 42 are from Surkhet, according to the latest statistics of the Ministry of Social Development.

Similarly, 12 people from Rukum West and one person from Dailekh have been confirmed infected.

With the fresh cases, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 3,228 in the province.

According to the latest statistics of Ministry, 27 more people got discharged on Tuesday. So far, 2,714 people in the province have recovered.

A total of six people have succumbed to the pandemic in the province so far.
