NCP Secretariat entrusts Chair duo and Gen Secy to finalize unification process

Directs govt fulfil vacant post in constitutional bodies



KATHMANDU: A meeting of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Secretariat has assigned the task of completing the unification process of the two parties — erstwhile CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) to chairman duo Prime Minister KP Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”, and party General Secretary Bishnu Poudel.

According to NCP Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha, they are entrusted to submit a substantive proposal to complete the remaining tasks of party unification within 10 days starding today.

Spokesperson Shrestha informed that the party Secretariat instructed the government to facilitate the fulfillment of the vacant posts in the constitutional bodies.

However, the Secretary abstained from talking about the reappointmentof former Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority Kulmand Ghising and the cabinet reshuffle when contacted.

Spokesperson Shrestha stated that the reshuffling of the cabinet could contribute to the government’s better performance.
