KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two women with nine kilograms of opium from Thabang rural municipality-2, in Rolpa district.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police led by Inspector Shankar Khadka arrested Bina Jyaoti, 36, and 45-year-old Muli Jhankri of Thabang-2, Thulogaun from Chherlabang on Monday.

According to District Police Office, Rolpa 9.82 kilograms of opium were seized from Bina Jyoti and Muli.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking them on a remand from the court.
