Ward Chairman dies of electric shock



KATHMANDU: Nimraj Tamang, Ward Chairman of Mapyadudhkoshi Village Municipality-5 of Solukhumbu has died due to electric shock.

According to the ward office, Chairman Tamang died on Tuesday morning at his own house in Salleri, Solukhumbu.

The iron rod hit an electric wire when he was picking up the rod and got electrocuted, said ward member Bimala Rai.

He died on Tuesday morning while undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Phaplu.
