One succumbs to coronavirus in Kavre



DHULIKHEL: A 50-year-old woman of Panauti municipality-5, Chaukot died while receiving treatment at the Dhulikhel Hospital on Monday evening due to coronavirus infection.

With this, the death toll from coronavirus infection in Kavrepalanchowk has reached five.

Member-secretary of the COVID-19 Prevention and Control Command Post and District Health Office Chief Dr Narendra Jha informed that the infected woman breathed her last while undergoing treatment at the Hospital following 19 days.

The intestine-cancer patient had been receiving chemotherapy at the Medicity Hospital before coming to the Dhulikhel Hospital, he said.

As of now, two of Panauti municipality, one of Panchkhal municipality and two of Dhulikhel municipality have lost their lives to the deadly virus in the district.
