People asked not to leave house after collection of swab samples

UDAYAPUR: Udayapur District Corona Crisis Management Center has asked persons whose swabs are collected to verify COVID-19 not to leave their homes until a report is received.

A joint meeting of the District Corona Crisis Management Center, Udayapur, and the District Security Committee, held on Friday, decided to that effect.

Chief District Officer Chakrapani Pandey said that it was decided to conduct a PCR test only later on the condition of staying in the mandatory home quarantine until the report is received.

He said that it has been decided to take action as per the Infectious Diseases Act, 2020 in case of violation of the conditions.

Chief of the District Health Office, Mohan Subedi, said that the risk was increasing in Udayapur due to non-compliance with the lockdown and health standards.

A 10-member district-level joint monitoring team has been formed under the coordination of Assistant Chief District Officer Shashi Kumar Lamsal to ensure strict adherence to health security standards in the district.

The meeting decided that Triyuga Municipality would coordinate with other local levels to manage the corpses of those who died due to the infection.
