Gandaki province sees 24 new corona cases on Saturday

Province tally reaches 1,868



POKHARA: Gandaki Province has seen 24 fresh cases of the coronavirus on Saturday making the total case in the province over 1,800.

According to Dr. Binod Bindu Sharma, Director at the Province Health Directorate, Kaski, the province witnessed 16 new cases in Kaski, three in Nawalpur, two each in Syangja and Tanahun and one in Baglung district.

Sharma stated that the data is based on the case reports as per the tests carried out in Province Tuberculosis Center Pokhara, Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences and National Public Health Laboratory Kathmandu on Saturday.

With this the number of coronavirus cases in the province has reached 1,868 out of which 1,592 have been discharged after recovery.

The province has seen seven deaths from coronavirus so far.

Dr. Sharma said that there are 269 people in the isolation centers established in nine districts in the province out of
which 247 are regarded as active cases.

There are 1,084 people living in various quarantine centers in Gandaki province.

Gandaki Province has seen the inflow of 19,113 people out of which 12,915 have been the returnees from India and 6,198 people are returnees from third countries.
