Coronavirus infects over 15 million people across world



KATHMANDU: More than 15 million people have been infected from coronavirus in the last six months globally.

With 238,728 infection cases in a single day, the number of infection cases has reached 15,091,452 as of Wednesday morning.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, 5,669 people died of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 619,400.

Meanwhile, 9,110,153 have recovered from the deadly virus.

Coronavirus has killed 199,749 and infected 271,393 people in the European countries. Meanwhile, 1608,474 have recovered from the coronavirus.

As many as 199,711 have died and 4,721,390 have been infected from coronavirus in North America. Meanwhile, 2,319,314 have recovered.

Likewise, 82,646 have died and 3,526,051 have been infected from the virus. Meanwhile, 2,512,337 have recovered from the virus.

South America has witnessed 121,360 deaths and 3,373,687 infection cases, of which 2,246,666 have recovered from the coronavirus.

Similarly, 15,770 have died and 753,549 have been infected, of which 412,654 have returned home after recovery.

Similarly, 149 have died and 14,121 have been infected in Australia and Oceania. Meanwhile, 10,057 have recovered from the deadly virus.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China, the coronavirus has spread to 113 countries including two international conveyances across the world.
