Kumari Bank hands over educational materials to school in Palpa

Kumari Bank has provided educational materials to Shree Bhairav Navdeep Higher Secondary School in Palpa.

The bank provided some computers and laptops to the school so that learning could continue through online medium even in the adverse situation created by the coronavirus outbreak.

During a brief ceremony at the bank’s head office in Tangal, the bank’s Chief Operating Officer Ram Chandra Khanal handed over the educational materials to the school’s representative Honorary Lieutenant General Yadav Bahadur Rayamajhi.

The purpose of the assistance is to support the capacity building and development of the children without any hindrance in the daily educational activities, the bank said in a statement.

The bank has been serving its customers through its 203-branch network, 138 ATMs, 13 extension counters and 21 branchless banking units across the country.

Govt seeks applications from unemployed people

The government has sought applications from people for employment opportunities.

The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security has written to all 753 local levels to collect names of unemployed people in this regard, said Krishna Poudel, section officer at the Prime Minister Self-Employment Program.

Aspiring people can apply for registration at the employment service center at local level from July 23 to August 23.

The selected applicant is bound to work at the area as directed by the center in line with Clause 21 of the Right to Employment Act, 2075.

In case the center fails to provide job opportunities to the selected applicants, a selected person as per Clause 22 of the Act is entitled to 50 percent of the amounts tantamount to 100 days of minimum salary.
