Landslide sweeps away vehicles in Palpa, two dead bodies found



PALPA: Two bodies have been found in a landslide in Tansen-Ridi section of the district on Monday.

One seriously injured person has been rescued and sent to the hospital for further treatment. The landslide near Sammobari of the Ridi-Tansen road section has also washed away some vehicles.

Rescue workers including Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police have reached the spot.

The landslide caused by incessant rainfall has swept away a water tanker, a truck and a pickup jeep, a motorcycle and buried a car on the road.

According to the District Police Office, Palpa, the bodies of two persons have been recovered so far.

Details of the incident are awaited.
