681 Nepalis stranded abroad returning home today



KATHMANDU: As many as 681 Nepali people stranded abroad due to coronavirus-induced lockdown are returning home on Monday.

According to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), a Nepal Airlines flight is bringing 150 Nepalis from Bahrain today.

Similarly, a flight of Himalaya Airlines is bringing 75 Nepalis from Pakistan and 156 from Maldives today afternoon.

Likewise, a flight of Air Arabia is bringing 150 Nepalis from the United Arab Emirates while Jazeera Airways is rescuing 150 people from Kuwait.

A coronavirus test report is mandatory for those Nepalis returning home via flights. Only those who have a coronavirus negative report are allowed to board the flight.

The Nepal government has been rescuing those Nepalis who feature in the priority list.
