4 Chinese nationals who assaulted cops released on bail

KATHMANDU: Four Chinese nationals involved in attacking security personnel have been released on a bail bond of Rs 5,000 each.

According to police, District Administration Office, Kathmandu released them on bail on Wednesday.

A clash had broken out between Chinese nationals and police on May 8 after a group of Chinese nationals, who were staging a sit-in in front of Singha Durbar demanding that they be allowed to go back to their country, tried to enter the premises.

During the scuffle, Chinese nationals had attacked security personnel injuring DSP Hari Basnet.

Four Chinese nationals were charged with indecent behavior for assaulting the cops deployed while others were released already.
