Health Ministry calls staffers on alternative days

KATHMANDU: As part of the measures to contain the coronavirus spread, about half of the Ministry of Health and Population employees will work from office regularly from now onwards.

The Ministry has decided to call half of its staffers to work in a bid to minimize the people in the ministry.

Ministry’s administrative chief Raghuram Bista says staffers are asked to come to the ministry on every alternative day.

However, this does not imply to higher posts, including secretary, joint-secretary, deputy secretary, and others.

Nepal has, so far, reported three deaths and as many as 444 coronavirus infection.
