Fire breaks out in cattle farm, kills five cows

KATHMANDU: Five cows have died after a fire broke out in a cow farm at Kageshwari Manohara Municipality-4 in Mulpani.

According to police, five cows, fodder for cattle and Rs 200,000 in cash were destroyed in the fire. The cow farm is run by Khadga Dhakal, a local.

A preliminary investigation of the police shows property worth Rs 1,418,500 was gutted in the fire. The cause behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Police said they are investigating the case.
