Khotang enforces lockdown for a week to stem COVID-19



KHOTANG: COVID-19 Prevention and Control District Coordination Committee, Khotang has decided to enforce a week-long lockdown in the district.

The ninth meeting of the Committee held on Tuesday morning has enforced a lockdown in the district in view of the fast spreading novel in the country, informed Babi Chamling, chief of the District Coordination Committee, Khotang.

“There will be no movement for a week starting today and no people will be allowed into Khotang from the neighboring districts,” said Chamling.

Chiefs of municipalities, Chief District Officer, and the chief of Coordination Committee have decided to this effect after the number of people coming into the district on foot went up of late.
