Airline operators commit to reviewing domestic airfare

KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has discussed airfare with airline operators on Saturday.

The meeting was held in the wake of complaints about airfare charged by domestic carriers.

During the meeting, Minister Bhattarai requested the airline operators to remove two slabs in airfare pricing and fix the fare as the maximum fair considering the panic created following fear of a possible outbreak of COVID-19.

“Airline operators have taken the request positively and committed to reviewing the airfare,” personal aide to Minister Bhattarai, Prem Guragain said.
