BIRGUNJ: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has asked the government to launch an independent probe into the commission case involving former minister Gokul Baskota.

Speaking to journalists in Chitwan, Dr Mahat said there could be other persons as well involved in irregularities about the establishment of a security printing press.

NC leader Mahat said this a day after minister Baskota after a leaked-out audiotape in which he is heard to have been negotiating with a Swiss company agent for a commission.

He also said that Prime Minister KP Oli should speak on the issue in the next Parliament meeting.
