Nepse jumps by 29.32 points



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) has jumped by double digits on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

The benchmark index went up by 29.32 points to settle at 1434.57 points, becoming an all-time high in a single day in 22 months.

The index increased by 2.9 points compared to Wednesday.

The index of all 12 groups except trade and mutual fund surged on Thursday. The share of hydro group gained highest 6.35 points, followed by non-life insurance with 5.55 points and life insurance with 4.76 points.

The total transaction on Thursday was Rs 2 billion 785 million.

Earlier, on April 22, 2018, the index had reached 1438.49 points.
