KATHMANDU: Home Minister and influencing leader of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Ram Bahadur Thapa alias Badal has been under much political pressure after the leaders close to him advised him to protest against the Prime Minister’s decision of dissolving the parliament.
According to the source, more than 20 leaders from former Maoist group close to Minister Thapa told him that they are not in the position to support the move of the Prime Minister as the PM has taken to unconstitutional option in the internal conflict of the NCP.
“Dissolution of parliament is a retrograde move, hence everyone should protest against it,” one of the leaders formerly very close to Minister Thapa told.
Thapa lately believed to be in PM Oli’s camp is believed to be under political pressure after listening to the conclusion of his comrades assembled at his quarter.
After not getting the support from the leaders who have been with him since the Maoist movement time, Minister Thapa abstained from the gathering of Oli camp’s lawmakers at Singhadurbar.
In the meantime, after the gathering at Thapa’s was over, NCP Executive Chairman Prachanda reached his quarter.
