KMC to collect swabs for free COVID-19 PCR test



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City is going to start collecting swabs for free PCR tests for COVID-19 from Sunday.

Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya said that the work of collecting swabs for free PCR test of the people falling within the criteria set by the Government of Nepal is being resumed.

Speaking to reporters at the unveiling of the statue of national icon Shankhadhar Sakhwa and human rights campaign leader Padmaratna Tuladhar on Saturday, Mayor Shakya said that the collection of swabs would resume from Sunday.

He also said that a mobile van is being prepared to collect swabs for PCR testing of disabled and senior citizens undergoing contact tracing.
