Police nab 24 gamblers from different places



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 24 gamblers from different places.

According to the police, eight people, including Rana, were arrested on Friday night while they were playing cards at the house of Balram Rana in Belbas of Byas Municipality-13 of Tanahun district.

Acting on a tip-off, the police team deployed from District Police Office, Tanahun arrested them with 270 cards and Rs 26,275 in cash.

Similarly, police have arrested 16 people, including Sagar Gadtaula, 35, of Ratuwamai Municipality-8, Sikkime Tol, on Friday night.

On the basis of special information, the police deployed from the District Police Office, Morang, seized Rs. 1,69,000.

Vehicles including 19 motorcycles and two cars have also been taken under control.

The local police are conducting further investigation of the accident.
