KATHMANDU: A meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) is taking place at 4 pm today.

To be held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the meeting will dwell on the  latest developments of the country, said Baluwatar sources

Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali, Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa and Prime Minister KP Oli will participate in the meeting.

The NSC which is chaired by the prime minister devises policies on national interest, security, defense, control and mobilization of Nepal Army and recommends the government accordingly.

Defense Minister, Home Minister, Finance Minister, Chief Secretary, Chief of Army Staff and Defense Ministry’s Secretary are the members in the NSC as per the provision of the Consitution of  Nepal.
