Kathmandu Valley reports 674 fresh COVID-19 cases, six deaths

KATHMANDU: As many as 674 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Populations, 538 in Kathmandu, 74 in Bhaktapur and 64 in Lalitpur have tested positive for COVID-19.

Similarly, six persons including a woman succumbed to the coronavirus in the Valley in the last 24 hours.

Men aged 58 and 73 years in Kathmandu, 62 and 84 years in Bhaktapur, a 58-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man in Lalitpur died from the pandemic virus.

Meanwhile, Nepal confirmed 1,154 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

The coronavirus tally has reached 65,276 with the fresh cases, Ministry’s Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said on Monday afternoon.
