Two women die of COVID-19 in Dharan 



DHARAN: Two women have succumbed to the coronavirus at the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS).

According to BPKIHS Spokesperson Dr. Dinesh Sapkota, a 72-year-old woman from Jhapa district died while undergoing treatment on Sunday.

The woman suffering from respiratory problems, chest pain, and weakness and with symptoms of pneumonia was referred from Kankai Hospital, Jhapa and to the institute for further treatment.

She was admitted to the institute on Sunday and breathed her last at 9:20 pm on Sunday, Sapkota informed.

Similarly, another 49-year-old woman who was undergoing treatment at the institute succumbed to the pandemic.

She was referred to the COVID Treatment Hospital of the institute from the Medicine Ward, said Dr. Sapkota.

She was admitted to the hospital’s Medicine Ward with high blood pressure, diabetes, and kidney-related ailments.
