26 including Staff Nurses infected with COVID-19 in Chitwan

CHITWAN: As many as 26 people including Staff Nurses have tested positive for coronavirus in Chitwan district.

Eleven women and 15 men were found infected during tests carried out at the laboratory of Bharatpur Hospital on Thursday night.

Among those infected, 22 people aged nine to 67 are from Chitwan district.

Ten people including two nurses tested positive for coronavirus through a contact tracing, said Hospital’s Information Officer Liladhar Paudel.

Similarly, three people staying in quarantine set up at Rapti municipality 2 and 8 have also tested positive for coronavirus, according to Dr Nitu Adhikari.

Likewise, one each from Nawalpur, Parbat, Parsa and Makwanpur has also tested positive for coronavirus.

Out of 306 swab samples tested, the results of 280 came out negative for coronavirus on Thursday night.

More than 300 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Chitwan. Of them, 113 patients have recovered from the pandemic.
