WASHINGTON: US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has lambasted China for what he said ‘rogue’ attitude in its neighborhood, specifically mentioning its attacks in Indian army.

Pompeo said the People’s Liberation Army escalted border tensions with India.

He accused the country for militarizing the South China Sea and illegally claiming more territory there. This has threatened vital sea lanes, Pompeo said recently in Denmark.

Pompeo also said democracies and of the world needed to join hands to tackle China.

He said Xi Jinping has green-lighted a campaign of repression against Chinese Muslims.

“Currently, the PLA has escalated border tensions with India,” Pompeo added.

He also held China responsible for pushing disinformation and malicious cyber campaigns to bring a wedge between the US and Europe.
