Will try and help India and China to resolve tensions: Donald Trump

WASHINGTON: United States President Donald Trump says he will help India and China to resolve their ongoing border tensions.

Speaking to journalists at the White House, President Trump said, “It’s a tough situation. The US is talking to India and China. They’ve got a big problem.”

He said India and China have come to blows, and the United States is closely watching the situation.

“We’ll try and help them out,” Trump said.

The Trump Administration has in recent times rallied behind India against the incursions of the Chinese Army into the Indian land of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh.

Some 20 Indian soldiers were killed in fierce clashes between Indian and Chinese militaries in Ladakh last week.
