KAILALI: Nepali nationals who had gone for work to India continue to return home from the Trinagar entry point.

Following the fear of the Corona Virus pandemic, thousands of Nepalis have returned home.

So far, 83,020 Nepali nationals have returned from various parts of India via the Trinagar transit point.

However, the number have decreased in the recent past.

As many as 6,000 people used to enter Nepal each day but has now decreased to 400 to 500, according to information officer at Kailali District Administration Office, Shiva Raj Joshi.

The number has decreased significantly as many have already returned while some remained back as loosening of the lock down in India has helped them continue with their jobs, he said.
